Background:
- DIVA is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) based tool developed using
IDL (Version 5.5) widgets
- it is designed to operate on both Linux and Windows - although
especially Linux
- readable image formats include FITS, RAL's in-house IMG, JPEG and
BMP types
- regions of interest may be defined by clicking and dragging the
mouse across draw areas
- the "basic requirements" of DIVA were initially based on the
SECCHI/STEREO EGSE Software Requirements (SEC-RAL-CCD-TR003)
