STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2025-06-03 (Week 23) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * Ahead is operating nominally. PLASTIC is in operational mode, but with a moderately higher than normal background rate. * Four years after the initial loss of communications anomaly with the Behind observatory, NASA has directed to cease periodic recovery operations with the last support on October 17, 2018. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 22 (May 26 - June 1) * On day 148 (May 28), during the DSS-84 (ESA Malargue) support, real-time telemetry and commanding was not available in the MOC, due to a VC7 SLE bind failure between DSN and ESA. This anomaly resulted in the loss of four hours of real-time telemetry and commanding. All VC6 SSR playback data was received during the support, which resulted in no data loss. * The average daily science data return for Ahead was 7.9 Gbits during this week. Week 23 (June 2-8) * Ahead has fifteen passes during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * The 75th SECCHI stepped calibration roll is scheduled for today, June 3rd, at 14:50 UT. * On Wednesday, June 4th, a MOC IONET secutiry scan is scheduled from 13:00 to 15:00 UT. Week 24 (June 9-15) * Ahead has fifteen passes during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * The 18th battery discharge cycle is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, starting at 17:40 UT. * APL will be undergoing power maintenance starting Friday, June 13, at 19:00 UT, and continuing until Monday, June 16 at 12:00 UT. The MOC shouldn't be impacted. * SECCHI will be conducting special observations in conjunction with the Parker Solar Probe perihelion beginning Sunday, June 15 and ending Tuesday, June 24th. Week 25 (June 16-22) * Ahead has seventeen passes during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * A DSN network maintenance event is scheduled on Monday, June 16th, from 10:30 to 14:30 UT. * The 177th momentum dump is scheduled on Wednesday, June 18th, at 13:00 UT. Week 26 (June 23-29) * Ahead has seventeen passes during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. Week 27 (June 30 - July 6) * Ahead has seventeen passes during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * APL will be closed on Friday, July 4th, for Independence Day. Week 28 (July 7-13) * Ahead has twelve passes during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal.
