STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2022-06-21 (Week 25) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * Ahead is operating nominally. PLASTIC is in operational mode, but with a moderately higher than normal background rate. * Four years after the initial loss of communications anomaly with the Behind observatory, NASA has directed to cease periodic recovery operations with the last support on October 17, 2018. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 24 (Jun 13-19) * On day 165 (Jun 14), during the DSS-14 support for Ahead, the beginning of track was delayed 39 minutes until 2139z, due to a hardware problem that prevented equipment connections. This anomaly resulted in the loss 39 minutes of real-time telemetry, commanding, tracking, and SSR data. The MOPs team repositioned the SSR pointers during the support and recovered all the affected data. See DR #G122828 for more information. * As of day 170 (Jun 19), all PLASTIC systems on Ahead are behaving well, except there is a moderate background count rate, which the team is continuing to monitor. * The average daily science data return for Ahead was 6.5 Gbits during this week. Week 25 (Jun 20-26) * Ahead has eleven tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. Week 26 (Jun 27-Jul 3) * Ahead has ten tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. Week 27 (Jul 4-10) * Ahead has eleven tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * Monday, Jul 4, is Indepence Day, which is an APL holiday. Week 28 (Jul 11-17) * Ahead has nine tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. Week 29 (Jul 18-24) * Ahead has nine tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * The 148th momentum dump on Ahead is scheduled for Tuesday, Jul 19, with ignition at 16:15 UT. Week 30 (Jul 25-31) * Ahead has ten tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal.
