STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2022-05-03 (Week 18) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * Ahead is operating nominally. PLASTIC is in operational mode, but with a moderately higher than normal background rate. * Four years after the initial loss of communications anomaly with the Behind observatory, NASA has directed to cease periodic recovery operations with the last support on October 17, 2018. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 17 (Apr 25-May 1) * On day 115 (Apr 25), during the DSS-63 support, the MOC lost command, telemetry and monitor data services at 1838z due a Madrid MDS system failure. The MOC received telemetry and monitor data again at 1858z without command services. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 0.3 hours of real-time telemetry and monitor data; and 2.1 hours of command services. The outage did not affect SSR data recovery. See DR #M114515 for more information. * As of day 121 (May 1), all PLASTIC systems are behaving well, except there is a moderate background count rate, which the team is continuing to monitor. * The average daily science data return for Ahead was 6.4 Gbits during this week. Week 18 (May 2-8) * Ahead has thirteen tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. A change was made to Wednesday's track schedule to accommodate another mission. * The 146th momentum dump on Ahead was Monday, May 2, with ignition at 18:30 UT. It was successful. Week 19 (May 9-15) * Ahead has twelve tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * On Wednesday May 11 PLASTIC will do some real time commanding to load a new suite table during the DSN-53 track from 17:50-20:50 UT. There will be a backup command opportunity on Friday May 13 during the DSN-63 track at 16:35 UT * The asteroid 3200/Phaeton will pass through the SECCHI HI1-A field-of-view between May 15-17. The SECCHI team will observe this event with their normal synoptic program. Week 20 (May 16-22) * Ahead has eleven tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * The 62nd SECCHI stepped calibration roll for the midpoint in the orbit is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, starting at 10:15 UT Week 21 (May 23-29) * Ahead has eleven tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * The Parker Solar Probe perihelion pass runs from days 148-158, May 28-Jun 7. Week 22 (May 30-Jun 5) * Ahead has ten tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal. * Monday, May 30, is Memorial Day, which is an APL holiday. Week 23 (Jun 6-12) * Ahead has twelve tracks during the week, all at 720 kbps, and overall coverage is nominal.
