STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2020-01-14 (Week 3) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * Ahead is operating nominally. PLASTIC is in the process of returning to nominal operations after suffering a voltage anomaly on Dec 5. See more information below. * Four years after the initial loss of communications anomaly with the Behind observatory, NASA has directed to cease periodic recovery operations with the last support on October 17, 2018. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 02 (Jan 6-12) * On day 007 (Jan 7), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, initial acquisition of telemetry and commanding were 36 minutes late at 1711z, due to an antenna cable problem. The MOPs team repositioned the SSR pointers and all affected data were recovered. See DR #M111964 for more information. * On day 012 (Jan 12), the PLASTIC team is continuing to monitor the RA_TRIG rates and Post Acceleration (PAC) Power Supply current, which continue to decline slowly over time. PLASTIC reports that they increased the voltage yesterday (Jan 13) by 2 steps (200 V), and are waiting to see the effect. They may open the entrance aperture tomorrow (Jan 15). * The average daily science data return for Ahead was 6.9 Gbits during this week.
