STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2019-12-03 (Week 49) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * The regularly scheduled weekly telecons on Dec 24 and Dec 31 are cancelled due to the holidays. * Restoration of the IMPACT server at UCLA is awaiting completion of the hiring of a programmer. * Deborah Knapp is retiring in January. James Dickey will be taking over as Mission Director. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * Ahead is operating nominally. * Four years after the initial loss of communications anomaly with the Behind observatory, NASA has directed to cease periodic recovery operations with the last support on October 17, 2018. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 48 (Nov 25-Dec 1) * The average daily science data return for Ahead was 5.8 Gbits during this week. Week 49 (Dec 2-8) * Ahead has eleven passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are ten passes at 720 kbps, and one at 480 kbps. Week 50 (Dec 9-15) * Ahead has twelve passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. An ESA New Norcia pass was added on Thursday, Dec 12. There are nine passes at 720 kbps, two at 360 kbps, and one at 240 kbps. * The 124th momentum dump on Ahead is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec 10, with ignition at 18:40 UT. Week 51 (Dec 16-22) * Ahead has fifteen passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are twelve passes at 720 kbps, two at 360 kbps, and one at 160 kbps. Week 52 (Dec 23-29) * Ahead has twelve passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal.
