STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2019-11-26 (Week 48) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * The regularly scheduled weekly telecons on Dec 24 and Dec 31 are cancelled due to the holidays. * Restoration of the IMPACT server at UCLA is awaiting completion of the hiring of a programmer. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * Ahead is operating nominally. * Four years after the initial loss of communications anomaly with the Behind observatory, NASA has directed to cease periodic recovery operations with the last support on October 17, 2018. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 47 (Nov 18-24) * On day 328 (Nov 24), during the DSS-34 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently from 0555z through 0929z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 36 frames of SSR data. * On day 322 (Nov 18), during the DSS-63 support for Ahead, the SSR pointers were repositioned for the failed DSS-14 support on DOY 321. As a result, the SSR science partitions filled as follows: IMPACT (Part 15) reached 95% full at 1507z for 0.2 hours. * On day 323 (Nov 19), MOPS permanent macro release 1.1.31 was loaded at 1245Z to C&DH RAM and EEPROM. This release removed the three G&C parameters from Macro 503 (IMU-2 Power Off) in support of No-Gyro Operations. * The average daily science data return for Ahead was 6.4 Gbits during this week. Week 48 (Nov 25-Dec 1) * Ahead has nine passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are eight passes at 720 kbps, and one at 160 kbps. * Thursday, Nov 28, is Thanksgiving. APL will be closed Nov 28-29. Week 49 (Dec 2-8) * Ahead has eleven passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are ten passes at 720 kbps, and one at 480 kbps. Week 50 (Dec 9-15) * Ahead has twelve passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. An ESA New Norcia pass was added on Thursday, Dec 12. There are nine passes at 720 kbps, two at 360 kbps, and one at 240 kbps. * The 124th momentum dump on Ahead is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec 10, with ignition at 18:40 UT. Week 51 (Dec 16-22) * Ahead has fifteen passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are twelve passes at 720 kbps, two at 360 kbps, and one at 160 kbps. Week 52 (Dec 23-29) * Ahead has twelve passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are ten passes at 720 kbps, one at 480 kbps, and one at 360 kbps. * APL will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec 24-25, for the Christmas holiday. * There will be no STEREO operations telecon during the week because of the Christmas holiday.
