STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2017-02-07 (Week 6) (Based on MOC status report.) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * The subsystem telemetry assesment review for Behind will be held at APL on Feb 24. See below for details. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * Ahead is operating nominally on the main lobe of the high gain antenna. * Attempts to recover Behind have transitioned back to a monthly schedule. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 5 (Jan 30-Feb 5) * On day 030 (Jan 30), during the DSS-15 support for Ahead, monitor data was lost at 1857z due to incorrect gateway routing table upon switching to a backup router during a DSN network upgrade. Monitor data was restored during the DSS-25 track the next day at 031-1850z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 4.1 hours of monitor data. All SSR data were recovered. See DR# N110520 and N110521 for more information. * On day 033 (Feb 2), during the DSS-26 support for Ahead, carrier lock was lost shortly after BOT at 1806z due to a known software anomaly with the RRT processing. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 2305 frames of real-time and SSR data. See DR# G117822 for more information. Later in the support, monitor data was lost again at 1930z due to incorrect gateway routing table. The next day, monitor data was restored during the DSS-43 support at 034-0818z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 2.7 hours of monitor data. See DR# N110519 for more information. * On day 035 (Feb 4), during the DSS-43 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0428z through 0431z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 4 frames of SSR data. * On day 035 (Feb 4), during the DSS-14 support, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 1856z through 1902z. SSR pointers were repositioned for the next track. All SSR data were recovered. See DR #G117833 for more information. * On day 033 (Feb 2), the PLASTIC SSR science partition (#17) filled and began recording only housekeeping data at 1724z for 1.25 hours due to an unexpected shortage of track time. * On day 034 (Feb 3), the PLASTIC SSR science partition (#17) filled and began recording only housekeeping data at 0347z for 2.7 hours due to an unexpected shortage of track time. * The average daily science data return for Ahead was 5.3 Gbits during this week. Week 6 (Feb 6-12) * On Monday, Feb 6, the MOC will be loading a G&C parameter to RAM to select the B thruster set (rather than A) for autonomous momentum dumps. * A 1.6 hour project interface test with Ahead using station 26 is scheduled for Sunday, Feb 12, 22:25-00:00 UT. There will be no SSR playback or instrument commanding during this pass. The telemetry rate will be 240 kbps. * Ahead has 8 passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are six passes at 720 kbps, one at 240 kbps, and one at 160 kbps. * There are no passes for Behind during the week. Week 7 (Feb 13-19) * A 1.5 hour project interface test with Ahead using station 63 is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 14, 15:15-16:45 UT. There will be no SSR playback or instrument commanding during this pass. The telemetry rate will be 720 kbps. * The 96th momentum dump on Ahead is scheduled for Friday, Feb 17, with ignition at 19:30 UT. This will be the 15th dump without using the gyros. * Ahead has 9 passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are seven passes at 720 kbps, and two at 240 kbps. * Recovery attempts for Behind are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Feb 17-19. The first two passes are for battery recovery, and will use the 80 kW transmitter on station 26. The radio science receiver will be used for all three tracks. Week 8 (Feb 20-26) * On Monday, Feb 20, G&C Memory Object Release 1.3.5 will be loaded to G&C EEPROM. * The subsystem telemetry assesment review for Behind will be held at APL on Friday, Feb 24, in building 200, starting at 9:00. Invitations have been sent out, and include WebEx information. Please contact the MOC if you need a badge. * Ahead has 11 passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are eight passes at 720 kbps, and three at 160 kbps. * There are no passes for Behind during the week. Week 9 (Feb 27-Mar 5) * Ahead has 11 passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are ten passes at 720 kbps, and one at 240 kbps. * There are no passes for Behind during the week. Week 10 (Mar 6-12) * Daylight Savings time in the US begins on March 12. * Ahead has 9 passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are seven passes at 720 kbps, one at 240 kbps, and one at 160 kbps. * There are no passes for Behind during the week. Week 11 (Mar 13-19) * The 38th SECCHI stepped calibration roll is scheduled for Thursday, Mar 16, starting at 13:50 UT. The system momentum is expected to be 6 N-m-s. This will be the 7th roll without using the gyros. * Ahead has 10 passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are eight passes at 720 kbps, one at 240 kbps, and one at 160 kbps. * Recovery attempts for Behind are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Mar 17-19. The first two passes are for battery recovery, and will use the 80 kW transmitter on station 26. The radio science receiver will be used for all three tracks.
