DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 20 (May 13-19) * On day 133 (May 13), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0514z and again at 0524z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of two frames of SSR data. See DR #N108850 for more information. * On day 134 (May 14), during the DSS-54 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0519z and again at 1314z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of five frames of SSR data. See DR #N108856 for more information. * On day 135 (May 15), during the DSS-63 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0513z through 0907z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 1765 frames of SSR data. See DR #N108857 for more information. * On day 136 (May 16), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, commanding and ranging were not performed for the entire track due to a transmitter problem. See DR #M107305 for more information. * On day 137 (May 17), during the DSS-63 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0512z through 0542z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 847 frames of SSR data. See DR #N108863 for more information. * On day 133 (May 13), during the DSS-45 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0102z through 0659z due to heavy rain at the station. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 639 frames of SSR data. See DR #C109358 for more information. * On day 134 (May 14), during the DSS-65 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 1736z through 1945z due to heavy rain at the station. The SSR playback was stopped at 1844z and the SSR pointers were repositioned prior to the telemetry problems. All SSR data were recovered on the next support. This anomaly resulted in the loss of four frames of SSR data. Other * SWAVES reports that their noise signature on Behind greatly improved when the SWEA power supply was reset on Apr 28. This noise, which has existed since the IMPACT boom deployment early in the mission, dropped down by 10 dB, and has not come back up. The cause is not known. There was also a slight change in the MAG data at the same time. No signature of this event is seen in the attitude data.
