INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 12 (Mar 18-24) * On day 077 (Mar 18), during the DSS-15 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1931z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR #N108676 for more information. * On day 079 (Mar 20), during the DSS-14 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1353z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 155 frames of SSR data. See DR #N108677 for more information. * On day 081 (Mar 22), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0637z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of two frames of SSR data. See DR #N108680 for more information. * On day 078 (Mar 19), the 25th SECCHI stepped calibration on Ahead was executed at 1010z for the perihelion in the orbit. * On day 080 (Mar 21), the 55th momentum dump on Ahead was executed successfully at 1800Z, which imparted a delta V of 0.081 m/sec. * On day 077 (Mar 18), during the DSS-45 support for Behind, no commanding or ranging was available for the duration of the track due the transmitter being declared red prior to the support. All SSR data were received. See DR# C109291 for more information. * On day 082 (Mar 23), during the DSS-63 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1758z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. A DR has been requested. * The average daily SSR playback volume during the week was 4.3 gigabits for Ahead, and 4.1 gigabits for Behind. Week 13 (Mar 25-31) * Turbo decoder lock was lost briefly during the station 55 pass for Ahead yesterday at 06:57, resulting in the loss of a few frames. * A project interface test was successfully carried out yesterday (Mar 25), testing the new gateway. Commanding was tested, and old data were streamed to test downlink. * The station 14 transmitter was having a problem during the pass for Ahead yesterday (Mar 25). Station 24 was brought online for command support. * The data path for the ESA New Norcia station was missing during the Ahead pass yesterday (Mar 25). This delayed commanding by 115 minutes. * Turbo decoder lock was lost briefly during the station 55 pass for Ahead early today (Mar 26). * The 50th momentum dump on Behind will be carried out on Thursday, Mar 28, starting at 16:30 UT. * Ahead has 13 passes during the week, and overall coverage is short 3.24 hours, mainly on Thursday, Mar 28. 70 meter passes are scheduled for Monday, Mar 25 (D14), Thursday, Mar 28 (D14), Saturday, Mar 30 (D63 at 720 kbps), and Sunday, Mar 31 (D63 at 720 kbps). The station 34 pass on Thursday, Mar 28, the station 26 pass on Friday, Mar 29, and the station 15 pass on Sunday, Mar 31, will all be carried out at 240 kbps. ESA New Norcia passes are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Mar 25-26. * Behind has 9 passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. 70 meter passes are scheduled for Monday, Mar 25 (D14 at 720 kbps), Tuesday, Mar 26 (D14), Thursday, Mar 28 (D63 at 720 kbps), Saturday, Mar 30 (D63), and Sunday, Mar 31 (D63). The station 24 pass on Wednesday, Mar 27, and the station 26 pass on Friday, Mar 29, will both be carried out at 160 kbps. Week 14 (Apr 1-7) * Spaceweather beacon telemetry will be switched from convolutional encoding to Turbo encoding on both spacecraft on Tuesday, Apr 2. This switch will occur around 02:40 UT for Behind, and 16:45 on Ahead. From this point on, all beacon telemetry will use Turbo encoding. * A return-to-service track for station 54 using Ahead is scheduled for Thursday, Apr 4. No SSR playback or instrument commanding will be available during this track. * Ahead has 13 tracks during the week, and overall coverage is short 5 hours, mainly on Wednesday, Apr 3. 70 meter tracks are scheduled for Monday, Apr 1 (D63 at 720 kbps), Tuesday, Apr 2 (D14), and Saturday, Apr 6 (D14). The station 26 track on Monday, Apr 1, will be carried out at 360 kbps. ESA New Norcia tracks are scheduled for Tuesday, Apr 2, and twice on Friday, Apr 5, and an ESA Cebreros track is scheduled for Thursday, Apr 4. * Behind has 11 tracks during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. There are 70 meter tracks scheduled for Monday, Apr 1 (D63), Tuesday, Apr 2 (D14), Wednesday, Apr 3 (D63), Friday, Apr 5 (D14, D63 twice), and Saturday, Apr 6 (D63).
