Other * It was noted that the occasional turbo decoder lock problems are only seen on the DSN stations, not the ESA stations. These problems are more serious for SECCHI than for the other instruments. * A meeting will be set up soon to discuss the laser gyros as used by STEREO and other missions. * There was an annual spacecraft subsystem review last week. Draft minutes from this review have been generated, and will be passed out to the instrument teams soon. Some highlights from this meeting were: - The lifetime of the IMU gyros was discussed. The MOC is looking into various options to prolong the life of the gyros, including possibly operating without the gyros during normal operations. - A tool is being planned to optimize the pass telemetry rates based on the individual station performance. This is already being done with station 26. - The thermal presentation is now available on the SDS website. * DSN station IDs for the ESA stations will change on May 1. The New Norcia ID will change from D32 to D74, and the Cebreros ID will change from D62 to D83. The Malargue ID will remain D84. * Authorization has been received to start scheduling use of the Malargue station for STEREO.
