STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2012-11-27 (Week 48) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 47 (Nov 19-25) * On day 329 (Nov 24), during the DSS-15 support for Ahead, initial telemetry lock was established late at 1347z due to a high system temperature and no band pass on the X-TWM receiver. A switch to the X-HEMT receiver resolved the problem. SSR pointers were repositioned to minimize data loss and all SSR data was recovered. See DR #G113414 for more information. * On day 330 (Nov 25), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0752z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR #N108542 for more information. * On day 326 (Nov 21), during the DSS-65 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 1050z through 1102z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of three frames of SSR data. See DR# N108538 for more information. * On day 328 (Nov 23), during the DSS-15 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 2001z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N108541 for more information. * On day 325 (Nov 20), the SSR science partitions on Behind filled as follows: SWAVES (Part 13) reached 100% full at 1312z for 0.3 hours. The primary cause was the accumulated shortage of track time throughout the week. * On day 326 (Nov 21), the SSR science partitions on Behind filled as follows: SWAVES (Part 13) reached 100% full at 1750z for 6.2 hours. The primary cause was the accumulated shortage of track time throughout the week. * On day 327 (Nov 22), the SSR science partitions on Behind filled as follows: SWAVES(Part 13) remained 100% full at 0000z for 19.7 hours. The primary cause was the accumulated shortage of track time throughout the week. * On day 328 (Nov 23), the SSR science partitions on Behind filled as follows: SWAVES (Part 13) reached 100% full at 0755z for 11.6 hours. IMPACT (Part 15) reached 95% full at 1339z for 6.0 hours. PLASTIC(Part 17) reached 95% full at 1531z for 4.0 hours. The primary cause was the accumulated shortage of track time throughout the week. * On day 329 (Nov 24), the SSR science partitions on Behind filled as follows: SWAVES (Part 13) reached 100% full at 0956z for 3.3 hours. IMPACT (Part 15) reached 95% full at 1059z for 2.3 hours. PLASTIC(Part 17) reached 95% full at 1142z for 1.6 hours. SECCHI (Part 19) reached 100% full at 1011z for 3.0 hours. The primary cause was the accumulated shortage of track time throughout the week. * The average daily SSR playback volume during the week was 4.2 gigabits for Ahead, and 3.1 gigabits for Behind. Other * SECCHI noted that version 03 of the Behind Level-0 telemetry files for day 326 (Nov 21) was incomplete, and they needed to have a version 04 created. So far, this is the only date for which this has been necessary. They will monitor the situation, and request version 04 files as needed. The MOC is also looking into routinely generating version 04 files. Since SECCHI adjusts their observing schedule to the telemetry schedule, their data is more likely to be delayed onboard than the other instruments. * The SWAVES team has been testing a lower telemetry rate on their engineering model. They plan to upload the commands to the Behind spacecraft today, to take effect on Thursday, Nov 29.
