STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2012-05-22 (Week 21) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * The will be a commercial power outage at APL on Saturday and Sunday, May 26-27. The MOC will stay up on generator power, and connectivity with the instrument teams should not be interrupted. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 20 (May 14-20) * On day 135, during the DSS-43 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 04:06 UT through 04:44 UT. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 148 frames of SSR data. * On day 136, the 41st momentum dump for Behind was successfully executed at 17:00 UT, which imparted a delta V of 0.0697 m/sec. * On day 137, for the DSS-63 support for Behind, initial acquisition of signal was delayed four hours and 20 minutes as the antenna could not be rotated due to a hydrostatic bearing anomaly. The hydrostatic bearing anomaly was corrected and telemetry lock was established at 19:20 UT. As there was only 30 minutes of track left in this support, SSR pointers were repositioned to minimize data loss. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 260 minutes of commanding, real-time telemetry and tracking data, and approximately 24 hours of SSR data for each instrument (on days 136 and 137). * On day 138, during the DSS-63 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 16:42 UT. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 33 frames of SSR data. * On day 139, during the DSS-63 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly beginning at 06:14 UT. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 89 frames of SSR data. * On day 139, during the DSS-14 support for Behind, telemetry lock was lost at 20:07 UT when the antenna brakes were set. After the brakes were released, telemetry lock was re-established at 20:13 UT. This anomaly resulted in the loss of several minutes of SSR data for each instrument. * On day 141, during the DSS-63 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 16:00 UT. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 174 frames of SSR data. * Average daily SSR playback was 5.6 Gbits for Ahead and 4.5 GBits for Behind Week 21 (May 21-27) * There is a 3 hour return-to-service track for station 65 with Behind on Friday, May 25, starting at 17:00 UT.
