STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2009-11-10 (Week 46) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 45 * The IMPACT/SWEA instrument on Ahead latched up on day 308 (Nov 4) at 17:31. It was recovered by 19:02 the next day. This was the fourth SWEA reset since launch. During recovery, an autonomous SWEA reset capability was enabled on both spacecraft. * Command bind was aborted twice during the station 26 pass on Behind on day 309 (Nov 5). SWAVES stored commands did not go up, and were transmitted on the next track on day 310 (Nov 6). * Telemetry lock was lost for 1 minute during the Behind pass on station 65 on day 310 (Nov 6). This resulted in the loss of two frames of SECCHI SSR data. * The 19th momentum dump on Behind was carried out successfully on day 307 (Nov 3). A delta-V of 0.0584 m/s was imparted. * The average daily SSR downlink was 5.8 gigabits on Ahead and 6.1 gigabits on Behind. Week 46 * The EEPROM on IMU #2 on Behind was refreshed this morning (Nov 10). This is recommended by the manufacturer every 3 years. The recommendations for the EEPROMs on the star tracker are once every 5 years. The same procedure will be carried out on IMU #1 next Tuesday. * Short tracks are scheduled for Ahead on Friday (Nov 13), and on Behind late Thursday evening (Nov 12). Week 47 * The EEPROM on IMU #1 on Behind will be refreshed on Tuesday, Nov 17. This will not affect instrument operations. * Short tracks are scheduled for Ahead on Monday and Tuesday, Nov 16-17, and on Behind on Wednesday, Nov 18, and twice on Friday, Nov 20. Week 48 * The 11th SECCHI stepped calibration roll will be carried out on Ahead on day 328 (Nov 24), starting at 14:15 UT. Ahead will reach aphelion on Nov 25 at 05:38 UT. * Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov 26. Week 49 * The 26th momentum dump will be carried out on Ahead on Wednesday, Dec 2, starting at 17:30 UT. * Behind will switch to 7 hour tracks in preparation for the switch down to 240 kbps. Not all the tracks will be 7 hours in duration, but this will be made up for to some extent by occasionally having additional tracks. Week 50 * Behind will switch to the 240 kbps on Dec 7. Week 51 * No significant activities planned.
