STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2009-10-06 (Week 41) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * The STEREO End-of-Prime-Mission review is expected during the week of Nov 9. It's expected to be either Nov 10 or Nov 12. Nov 11 is a holiday. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 40 * SECCHI Ahead reset at 17:28 UT on day 271 (Sep 28), and was recovered by 12:36 UT the next day. This is the 13th reset on Ahead. * The maser receiver failed during the Behind pass on station 15 at 23:04 UT on day 271 (Sep 28). There was a quick response switching to backup so only minor data loss. About 4 minutes of realtime data were lost, and less than 1 hour of SSR data for all instruments. * The station 55 exciter lost command bind during the Behind pass on day 272 (Sep 29). All SSR data were recovered. A fiber optics assembly board was replaced the next day (Sep 3), and that seems to have solved the problem. * Messenger flew by Mercury on day 272 (Sep 29). * The 11th SECCHI stepped calibration was carried out on Behind on day 273 (Sep 30), starting at 18:10 UT. * The average daily SSR downlink was 5.4 gigabits for Ahead, and 6.3 gigabits for Behind. Week 41 * IMPACT will perform some realtime SEPT commanding on Behind on Thursday, Oct 8, starting around 11:00. * Short tracks for Ahead on days 281 (Oct 8) and 283 (Oct 10). * There will be a downlink only test track for station 47 in Australia on Thursday, Oct 8. Week 42 * The 25th momentum dump for Ahead will be carried out on day 288 (Oct 15) at 17:00 UT. * There are a few slightly shorter tracks during the week. Week 43 * There's a 4.9 hour track on Ahead on Friday, Oct 23, and a 5 hour track on Behind the same day. Week 44 * Behind reaches L5 on day 299 (Oct 26). * Daylight savings ends on day 305 (Nov 1) at 06:00 UT. Other * The DSN schedules have caught up from the lunar missions.
