STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2009-04-28 (Week 18) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- None INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS ----------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spacecraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ---------------------- Week 17 * On Day 112 Behind momentum dump was successfully executed * On Day 116 Station 106 transmitter was red at start of track for Behind. All SSR data was eventually recovered. * The average daily downlink was 5.7 gigabits on Ahead and 6.2 gigabits on Behind. Week 18 * The third SECCHI 180 degree roll on Ahead is scheduled for Tuesday Apr 28 at 19:50 UT. This should take about 6.5 hours Week 19 * A long gap between passes (30 hours) will occur on Ahead between Thursday and Friday (May 7-8). * The third SECCHI/HI 180 degree roll on Behind is scheduled for day 126 (May 6) at 17:50 UT. * G&C FSW version 3.2.6 will be loaded to Copy 2 in EEPROM on Behind on day 127 (May 7) in preparation for the anticipated G&C reset. Week 20 * Ahead momentum dump is scheduled for May 12, 13:30 UT start. * Subject to approval by Goddard management, the G&C reset on Behind will occur starting May 12. During a 3 hour track in the afternoon Eastern Time, the high voltage will be brought down on IMPACT and PLASTIC. Then, during a 7.5 hour track starting at about 7:30 EDT (23:30 UT) each instrument will be powered off 5 minutes apart and the system reset to activate G&C software version 3.2.6 will be preformed. The spacecraft should be returned to normal by the end of the track. If there is extra time the instruments can reconfigure to resume normal science operations. There is another long track the next night (starting May 13) which can be used as a backup time for these activities. The Ahead G&C software update and system reset is TBD.
