STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2009-01-13 (Week 03) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spacecraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 02 * The scheduled Ahead track on station 25 on day 5 (Jan 5) did not occur because the station antenna was stuck. Two additional tracks--1.3 hours on station 45 starting at 16:30, and 3.3 hours on station 65 starting at 00:35--were quickly added to minimize the SSR data loss and reset the pointers. This resulted in the SECCHI synoptic partition filling up, and the subsequent loss of 7 hours of SECCHI data. * On day 7 (Jan 7), during the Ahead pass on station 26, after the HGA calibration, a ranging misconfiguration led to the loss of some SECCHI SSR packets. * The station 15 transmitter was red for the Ahead pass on day 8 (Jan 8). The pass was switched to station 26, and proceeded nominally. * The 9th HGA calibrations were performed on both spacecraft on day 7 (Jan 7). * SWAVES-A had a reset at 00:09:41 UT on day 10 (Jan 10). This is the second SWAVES reset to occur on Ahead. * Telemetry lock was intermittent during the station 55 Behind pass on day 7 (Jan 7). This resulted in the loss of several minutes of SECCHI SSR data. * The average daily downlink was 6.0 gigabits on Ahead, and 6.3 gigabits on Behind. Week 03 * No significant activities are planned. Week 04 * A momentum dump is scheduled for Behind on Jan 21, with ignition at 19:00 UT. The next momentum dump on Ahead is planned for week 6. * The prime mission ends, and the extended mission starts, on Jan 22. * The two STEREO spacecraft will be at exactly 90 degrees separation on Jan 24. Week 05 * No significant activities are planned. Other * A new MOC schedule has been sent to the teams which covers the period up through 2015. * A Delta launch is scheduled for tomorrow. If the launch slips, it might affect the STEREO DSN schedule. * SWEA testing has started on both spacecraft. The testing involves sweeping through the V0 setting every four hours. Also, the team is slowly heating up SWEA to see how that affects the data. Heating will stop at 30 degrees or when the heater reaches 100% duty cycle. After testing, the temperature will be returned to the normal setting. A commanding anomaly occurred at the start of testing when a command was sent too soon after the checksum command was sent, leading to an IDPU error. This required resetting the error flag before commanding could proceed. * The APL network outage originally planned for last year has not yet been rescheduled.
