STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2008-09-23 (Week 39)

INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS
--------------------------------

* All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead
  spececraft is currently operating on IMU #2.


DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS
-------------------------------------

Week 38

* The IMPACT team uploaded a LET software patch to Ahead on day 259 (Sep 15).
  The LET team reports that the patch looks good.

* The 16th momentum dump on Ahead occured on day 260 (Sep 16) at 13:00 UT.

* There was a power outage at station 25 during the Behind pass on day 261
  (Sep 17).  This resulted in a loss of about 45 minutes of data for all
  instruments.

* The station 24 support for Behind scheduled for day 263 (Sep 19) was
  cancelled on day 261 (Sep 17) because the receiver was red.  Station 26 was
  scheduled instead, at a slightly different start time.

* Behind switched to 480 kbps on Sep 15.

* The SECCHI team uploaded flight software patch 5.09 to Behind on Monday,
  day 260 (Sep 15).

* The average daily downlink was 7.2 gigabits on Ahead, and 6.9 gigabits on
  Behind.

Week 39

* A return-to-service track on Behind, and a PIT test, was carried out
  yesterday (Sep 22) on station 24.  No SSR playback was performed during this
  track.  In spite of some weather issues, the track was carried out
  successfully.

* The 11th momentum dump on Behind is occuring today (Sep 23) at 17:00 UT.

Week 40

* The SECCHI stepped calibration roll on Ahead is scheduled for day 274
  (Sep 30) at 06:55 UT.

Week 41

* There will be a MESSENGER fly-by of Mercury on Monday, October 6.

Week 42

* Ahead will switch to 480 kbps on Oct 13.

Other

* There was some discussion of a limit check that occured on PLASTIC during the
  momentum dump.  This was related to cycling power on the entrance system, and
  is normal.

* SECCHI reports that they've been seeing a larger than usual change recently
  in the Attitude History files between versions 1 and 3 on Ahead.

* SECCHI also reports that they're missing image telemetry for Ahead for
  several hours on Aug 27.  However, there are no gaps in the housekeeping
  telemetry.  As far as they know, they were taking images during this period,
  and don't know why the telemetry is missing.
