INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS
--------------------------------

* All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead
  spececraft is currently operating on IMU #2.


DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS

Week 45

* A momentum dump was successfully performed on Ahead on day 312 (Nov 8).

* The average daily downlink was 6.8 gigabits on Ahead and 7.1 gigabits on
  Behind.

* IMPACT began a 48 hour SEPT calibration on day 310 (Nov 6) which ended on day
  312 (Nov 8).

Week 46

* Ground equipment problems were encountered during the station 34 pass with
  Ahead on day 317 (Nov 13).  No data were lost.

* The DSN central LAN switch failed during the station 25 pass with Ahead on
  day 320 (Nov 16).  Commands were resent manually.  No data were lost.

* The average daily downlink was 7.7 gigabits on Ahead, and 8.3 gigabits on
  Behind.

* On day 317, an extra "return-to-service" engineering track on station 45 for
  Behind started four minutes late because of a problem with New Horizons.
  This led to a data gap in the spacecraft data, but not the instrument data.
  At 05:54 during the same track, the transmitter went red because of an
  interlock alarm.  This led to the loss of some SECCHI data.

Week 47

* No unusual events are planned.

* SECCHI's synoptic partition started at 100% full at the beginning of the
  Behind pass today (Nov 20).  APL will free up some space when possible.  This
  has happened recently on two other occasions, day 315 (Nov 11) on Ahead, and
  day 314 (Nov 10) on Behind.

Week 48

* SECCHI software update 5.07 will be enabled on Monday, Nov 26, on Ahead at
  16:30, and Behind at 12:00 UT.

* There will be a momentum dump on Behind on Wednesday, Nov 28 at 16:00 UT.

Weeks 49 & 50

* Nothing unusual planned

Other

* A momentum dump is expected on Ahead the week before Christmas, probably
  Dec 19.

* The second SECCHI campaign is scheduled for January 7-20.

* Messenger will fly by Mercury January 14th, during the SECCHI campaign.
