STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2007-03-20 (Week 12) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * Because of a conflict with the Science Working Group meeting, next week's telecon has been moved to Thursday, 12:30 P.M. EDT. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. * SECCHI had a watchdog timer reset on Ahead during the track on day 77. The SECCHI team was able to recover during the track, and had recovered the instrument within 1.5 hours after the reset. The whole process, including post-recovery reconfiguration, was completed within 3 hours after the reset. * SSR playback times were loaded incorrectly on the Ahead spacecraft for day 73. This was because some software had been inadvertently reverted to an earlier version. No data was lost, and the situation has been corrected. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 11 * On day 74, for the Ahead spacecraft, the track was shortened by 1:45 minutes to handle an emergency on the MRO mission. All data was recovered over the next several days. * On day 77, about 3% of the SECCHI Special Event buffer was not played back. * The average data recovery rate over the week was 6.5 gigabits/day for Ahead, and 7.2 gigabits/day for Behind. * SECCHI HI 90/270 degree coincident calibration rolls were performed on day 72, and the 180 degree calibration rolls were performed on day 74. The SECCHI team reports that the observations went very well. They had good overlap between the two instrument fields-of-view, and were able to get good measurements out of the data. The calibrations of the two instruments are very close to each other. * The G&C software was patched on both spacecraft on day 72. * The 3rd HGA calibration was performed on the Ahead spacecraft on day 73. This was very successful. The same calibration was performed on Behind on day 71, but the type of receiver at the ground station was not correct, so the Behind calibration wasn't as sucessful as on Ahead. The total roll of the spacecraft is no more than 2 degrees during an HGA calibration. * The track for the Behind spacecraft on day 75 was delayed by 5 minutes. All track objectives were achieved. * New G&C parameters were uploaded to Behind on day 74 to maintain pointing during momentum dumps. Additional parameters were uploaded on day 75 to Behind for wheel speed avoidance. * IMPACT LET firmware load on day 75 was unsuccessful. It is rescheduled for week 12. Week 12 * A time update of about 200 ms was uploaded to both spacecraft yesterday. * The IMPACT LET firmware load is scheduled for Wednesday. * There will be an ephemeris upload on Ahead to take effect at the day 83/84 boundary. Week 13 * There will be an ephemeris upload on Behind to take effect at the day 89/90 boundary. Week 14 * The 4th HGA calibration is scheduled on both spacecraft on day 93. * A macro upload for EA mode is scheduled for week 14. * There is a potential momentum dump on Behind on day 95. Week 15 * There is a potential momentum dump on Ahead on April 12, day 102. Week 16 * SECCHI has several calibration activities which still need to be scheduled. They need a stepped calibration roll on Behind, and 1-2 SECCHI-driven off-points on both spacecraft. They would like to schedule these activities during week 16. Week 17 * Nothing to report. Week 18 * Start of SECCHI campaign, May 4th * MOC will switch over to unattended tracks April 30. Other * SECCHI's request for resizing their internal partitions has been approved. APL and NRL will coordinate scheduling this activity.
