STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2006-10-03 (Week 40) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * Launch now scheduled for October 26 UTC (Oct 25, EDT). * STEREO Weekly Planning meeting/telecon occurs every Tuesday effective 10/03/2006 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern Time (US & Canada). Where: STEREO MOC Conference Room, Mod6. INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- N/A OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ---------------------- * DSN coverage proceeding smoothly. Delayed station 45 shutdown until next year. * Date of launch depends on whether one is talking UTC or eastern time for all days in launch window. * Daylight savings time ends October 29. * Only one ~15 minute launch opportunity each day, launching on minute boundary. Very quick boost with coast of ~40 minutes. Short 4 hour track on Canberra station. Transmitter should be on before Canberra. Gap in coverage before coming up on Madrid station. * A1 maneuver is definite, and expect to have maneuvers at P1, P2, and A3+. * First lunar swingby December 15. * Orbit in current window same as previous window, with Ahead going out first, and perigees on nighttime side. If delayed to next launch window, then Behind will go out first, and the perigees will be on the daytime side. * Eclipses ~20 minutes for perigees. P4 ~10 minutes. * Early Operations schedule moved around a bit--instrument teams should check. * Expect to have Weekly Schedule for first week by Friday, ahead of schedule. * Track Plan will be generated for launch rehearsal. Use same Weekly Schedule. Rehearsal will include SECCHI decontamination heater sequence. * Apogee maneuvers will occur day before apogee. Perigee maneuvers will occur right at perigee. * Launch scheduled for Wednesday, east-coast time. Mission day #2 will fall on Friday, east-coast time. SECCHI turn-on will be in the very early morning, sometime after 3 A.M. SWAVES turn-on will be later in the morning. * Operating instruments serially. * Ground system set up for parallel instrument commanding.
