STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2014-03-11 (Week 11) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * Due to increased security requirements at APL, the instrument teams will need to inform the MOC of the static IP addresses of computers used to access either the STEREO Data Server, or to connect via ssh for commanding or data download. If fixed IP addresses are not available, VPN software will be provided. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 10 (Mar 3-9) * On day 065 (Mar 6), during the DSS-43 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 2247z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of five frames of SSR data. * On day 067 (Mar 8), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1207z and again at 1327z. These anomalies resulted in the loss of 40 frames of SSR data. * On day 068 (Mar 9), during the DSS-45 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 2355z and again at 069-0037z. These anomalies resulted in the loss of two frames of SSR data. * On day 065 (Mar 6), the SSR science partitions on Ahead filled as follows: SWAVES (Part 13) remained 100% full at 2238z for 0.5 hours. * On day 063 (Mar 4), during the DSS-55 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1730z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. * On day 065 (Mar 6), during the DSS-26 support for Behind, initial telemetry lock was established 0.2 hours late at 2050z due to the Automated Link Build at the station not being able to configure for the support. Once the issue was corrected and the downlink established, all SSR pointers were repositioned to avoid data loss. See DR #G114762 for more information. The recent problems with the Automated Link Build are due to new automation systems being used at the stations, which currently have some bugs which need to be worked out. * On day 066 (Mar 7), during the DSS-55 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently between 1512z and 1513z. All SSR pointers were reposition to recover the 333 frames of lost data. See DR# M107836 for more information. Later during the track, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1644z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. * On day 068 (Mar 9), during the DSS-25 support, initial telemetry lock was established 0.6 hours late at 1838z due to the Automated Link Build at the station not being able to configure for the support. Once the issue was corrected and the downlink established, all SSR pointers were repositioned to avoid data loss. See DR #G114779 for more information. * Between 068-0333z (Mar 9) and 069-1334z (Mar 10) the spacecraft began dropping fine-pointing lock intermittently. Reaction wheels 3 and 4 were both operating at low speeds during this time period and there are known bearing lubrication issues when the wheels operate in low speed regions. The G&C lead is investigating. SECCHI reports that this had a significant effect on their data due to the greater than 1 degree excursions in pointing. * The average daily SSR playback volume during the week was 3.2 gigabits on Ahead, and 3.8 gigabits on Behind. Week 11 (Mar 10-16) * Later this afternoon (Mar 11), the MOPS updates on Ahead will be promoted to EEPROM.
