STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2013-04-02 (Week 14) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 13 (Mar 25-31) * On day 084 (Mar 25), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0657z through 0717z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of nine frames of SSR data. See DR #N108697 for more information. * On day 084 (Mar 25), a Project Interface Test (PIT) was conducted with the DTF-21 test station and the STEREO AHEAD MOC at 1620z to test the new Remote Partner Gateway (RPG) firewall installed on the RIONet at JPL. Nominal telemetry and monitor data were received and one command was sent successfully. * On day 084 (Mar 25), during the DSS-14 support for Ahead, at BOT, 1345z, the transmitter was red and remained unavailable for the duration of the support. The 480 kbps downlink was received satisfactory. DSS-24 was placed on line to provide command support. All SSR data was received. See DR #G113804 for more information. * On day 084 (Mar 25), during the DSS-32 support for Ahead with ESA New Norcia, at 2135z, the command bind was established 115 minutes late due to a missing data path in the newly installed RPG firewall at JPL. All SSR data were received. See DR #N108689 for more information. * On day 085 (Mar 26), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0627z through 0734z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of six frames of SSR data. See DR #N108692 for more information. * On day 086 (Mar 27), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0628z and again at 0703z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of three frames of SSR data. See DR #N108693 for more information. * On day 088 (Mar 29), during the DSS-26 support for Ahead, the telemetry bind in the MOC was lost for 18 minutes when the DSN telemetry server, opsana8, rebooted at 1324z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 18 minutes of real-time telemetry. All SSR data were recovered. See DR #N108698 for more information. * On day 088 (Mar 29), during the DSS-45 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 2020z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR #N108703 for more information. * On day 090 (Mar 31), during the DSS-15 support for Ahead, telemetry was received six minutes late at 1521z because 1-way predicts were not available in the Receiver & Ranging Processor. This anomaly resulted in the loss of four minutes of SSR data. See DR #G113809 for more information. * On day 090 (Mar 31), during the DSS-15 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 091-0104z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR #G113811 for more information. * On day 087 (Mar 28), the 50th momentum dump was executed successfully on Behind at 1630Z, which imparted a delta V of 0.076 m/sec. * The average daily SSR playback volume during the week was 4.3 gigabits for Ahead, and 4.3 gigabits for Behind. Week 14 (Apr 1-7) * Spaceweather beacon telemetry is being switched from convolutional encoding to Turbo encoding on both spacecraft today (Apr 2). This switch occurred around 02:40 UT for Behind, and all indications are that the switch was successful. The same change will occur around 16:45 on Ahead. From this point on, all beacon telemetry will use Turbo encoding. * A return-to-service track for station 54 using Ahead is scheduled for Thursday, Apr 4.
