DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 01 (Dec 31-Jan 6) * On day 366 (Dec 31), during the DSS-15 track for Ahead, carrier lock was lost beginning at 1631z through 1635z and again at 1714z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of several minutes (2142 frames) of SSR data. See DR #G113574 for more information. * On day 002 (Jan 2), during the DSS-15 support for Ahead, no commanding or ranging for the entire track due to a transmitter problem. See DR# G113575 for more information. * On day 005 (Jan 5), during the DSS-15 track for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1511z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR #N108592 for more information. * On day 005 (Jan 5), during the DSS-34 track for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 2044z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. The primary cause was the accumulated shortage of track time throughout the week. * On day 002 (Jan 2), the SSR science partitions on Ahead filled as follows: SWAVES (Part 13) reached 100% full at 1154z for 3.3 hours. Week 02 (Jan 7-13) * Load MOPS Macro Release 1.1.15 to RAM on Tuesday for Ahead and Monday for Behind. This is to extend the housekeeping SSR playback by four minutes to increase the amount of G&C Black Box data downloaded. * HGA calibration maneuvers will be carried out on Ahead at 18:00 UT on Wednesday, Jan 9, and on Behind on Thursday, Jan 10, at 21:00 UT. * The 53rd momentum dump on Ahead is scheduled for Friday Jan 11 at 18:00 UT. * Ahead has 13 passes during the week, and overall coverage is short 5.7 hours. There is a 70 meter pass on Thursday, Jan 10 (D63). The station 26 pass on Tuesday Jan 8, will be carried out at 240 kbps. ESA New Norcia passes will be carried out on Thursday, Jan 10, and Saturday, Jan 12. * Behind has 10 passes during the week, and overall coverage is short 19.6 hours. There are 70 meter passes on Tuesday, Jan 8, Friday, Jan 11, and Sunday Jan 13, all using station 63. The station 24 pass on Saturday, Jan 12, will be carried out at 160 kbps. ESA New Norcia passes will be carried out on Tuesday, Jan 8, and Saturday, Jan 12. Week 03 (Jan 14-20) * Ahead has 10 passes during the week, and overall coverage is short 29.4 hours. There are no 70 meter passes during the week. * Behind has 11 passes during the week, and overall coverage is short 11.6 hours (mostly Wed-Sun). There are four 70 m passes, all on D63: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Jan 14-17). The station 26 and 45 passes on Saturday (Jan 19) and the station 15 pass on Sunday (Jan 20) will be carried out at 160 kbps. ESA passes are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, Jan 16-17. Week 04 (Jan 21-27) * MOPS macro release 1.1.15 will be loaded to EEProm on Monday, Jan 21, for both Spacecraft. * Ahead has 11 passes during the week, and overall coverage is short 10.25 hours. No 70 meter passes are scheduled during the week. The station 25 pass on Tuesday, Jan 22, and the station 26 passes on Saturday and Sunday, Jan 26-27, will all be carried out at 240 kbps. ESA New Norcia passes are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan 22, and Thursday, Jan 24. * Behind has 13 passes during the week, and overall coverage is short 9.1 hours. 70 meter passes are scheduled using station 26 each day between Monday to Friday, Jan 21-25. Other * Testing is anticipated with the new ESA station in Malargue, Argentina later this month, but has not yet been scheduled. * SECCHI reported problems last week getting all their commands up during the short tracks. The MOC suggests asking for bypass to be turned on when there are a lot of commands to get up. * There was a problem producing the attitude history files last week due to a workstation failure. This problem has been fixed, and the missing files should now be filled in.
