Also during the support, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 1224z through 1225z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 529 frames of SSR data. See DR# N108454 for more information. * On day 269 (Sep 25), the 45th momentum dump on Behind was executed successfully at 1500Z, which imparted a delta V of 0.065 m/sec. * The average daily SSR playback volume during the week was 5.2 gigabits for Ahead, and 4.4 gigabits for Behind. * There are large several hour data gaps for most of the instruments on Behind on Sep 27. This is believed due to DCD issues, and the data are in the process of being recovered. Week 40 (Oct 1-7) * Testing of the turbo encoding mode for the space weather beacon data will be carried out with Ahead on Wednesday, Oct 3, starting at 10:05 UT after the station 63 pass, and with Behind on Thursday, Oct 4, starting at 11:50 UT after the ESA New Norcia pass. * Yesterday the IMPACT team did some commanding on Behind to fix a flipped bit in RAM that affected PLASTIC. They also made some preparations for running from EEPROM instead of RAM to avoid this problem in the future. This change was made previously on Ahead. The MOC is looking into scheduling time for this change. * Ahead has 70 meter passes on Monday, Oct 1 (D14), Wednesday, Oct 3 (D63), Saturday, Oct 6 (D63), and Sunday, Oct 7 (D63). There are 9 passes during the week, and overall coverage is nominal. An ESA New Norcia pass is scheduled for Friday, Nov 2. Other * The Behind spacecraft will be switching to the 120 kbps telemetry rate during week 45. In addition, station contention with Behind is expected to be very high for the next few months due to a number of stations being down. For these reasons, the instrument teams need to look into what they need to do to accommodate the change in telemetry rate. In general, the level of contention during 2013 is comparable to that experienced during 2012. The ESA station in Argentina will be coming online in January, and it would be helpful to get authorization to use this station.
