STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2012-05-29 (Week 22) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * There is a planned power outage at the Berkeley SSL tomorrow (May 30). Power will be out for about 2 hours at the beginning of the day (6 A.M. PDT) to switch to generator, and then again at the end of the day (6 P.M. PDT) to switch back to main power. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 21 (May 21-27) * On day 145 (May 24), before the start of the DSS-24 support for Ahead, the downlink receiver was declared red. The support was switched to use DSS-25 for the planned duration. At 1218z, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly. These anomalies resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# G112749 and N108115 for more information. * On day 146 (May 25), during the DSS-63 support for Ahead, command uplink was delayed six minutes at 0437z due to a late indication at the station. At 0605z, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly. These anomalies resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N108121 and N108116 for more information. * On day 147 (May 26), during the DSS-63 support for Ahead, command uplink was delayed six minutes at 0437z due to a late indication at the station. At 0611z, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly. These anomalies resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N108122 and N108123 for more information. * On day 148 (May 27), during the DSS-34 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 2059z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N108124 for more information. * A small increase in power consumption was seen in reaction wheel #1 indicating the possibility of some stiction. Whether this is having any effect on the science data is still being looked into. The SECCHI telescopes would be most affected. The problem seems to have been cleared up. * On day 142 (May 21), during the DSS-63 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1732z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N108111 for more information. * On day 146 (May 25), a return to service track with DSS-65 for Behind was conducted with nominal uplink and downlink support. The SSR was not played back as the data from this support was not committed. It is believed that some data were taken to help diagnose the occasional losses of turbo decoder lock, but this has to be confirmed. * On day 148 (May 27), during the DSS-55 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0951z and again at 1029z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of two frames of SSR data. A DR has been requested. * On day 148 (May 27), during the DSS-25 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1800z and again at 2249z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of two frames of SSR data. A DR has been requested. * The average daily SSR playback volume during the week was 5.6 gigabits for Ahead, and 5.5 gigabits for Behind. Week 22 (May 28-Jun 03) * Turbo decoder lock was lost briefly during yesterday's (May 28) pass for Ahead. This resulted in the loss of about 60 frames of data. * The 47th momentum dump on Ahead is scheduled for Thursday, May 31, with ignition at 16:00 UT. * The 21st SECCHI stepped calibration roll on Behind took place starting at 6:05 UT this morning (May 29). * Ahead has 70 meter tracks on Monday, May 28, and Tuesday, May 29, both using station 63.
