STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2012-04-17 (Week 16) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 15 (Apr 9-15) * On day 103 (Apr 12), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0604z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N108033 for more information. * On day 105 (Apr 14), during the DSS-14 support for Ahead, ranging was enabled late at 1822z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 14 minutes of ranging data. All SSR data were recovered. See DR# G112574 for more information. * On day 100 (Apr 9), during the DSS-15 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0106z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N108027 for more information. * On day 105 (Apr 14), during the DSS-63 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1421z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of two frames of SSR data. A DR has been requested. * On day 106 (Apr 15), during the DSS-14 support for Behind, telemetry lock was lost at 1931z as the antenna stopped tracking. Subsequently, the antenna was declared red due to a hydraulic leak and the remainder of the track was lost. During the next support, SSR pointers were repositioned to minimize data loss. This anomaly resulted in the loss 3.7 hours of command and tracking data and up to 24 hours of SSR data for each instrument. See DR# G112581 for more information. Gaps in the attitude history data are also expected. * On day 102 (Apr 11), the 40th momentum dump on Behind was successfully executed at 1500Z, which imparted a delta V of 0.0687 m/sec. * The average daily SSR playback volume was 5.1 gigabits for Ahead, and 4.4 gigabits for Behind. Week 16 (Apr 16-22) * IMPACT loaded a flight software patch for the LET instrument onto Ahead early Monday morning (Apr 16). If the patch is successful, it will be loaded onto Behind later in the week. * Shadow tracks with station 26 took place on both spacecraft yesterday (Apr 16), and another on Behind is scheduled for today (Apr 17). * Station 15 come up red this morning (Apr 17) before the track for Ahead. Because of this, the scheduled momentum dump was rescheduled for tomorrow, Apr 17, with ignitition at the same time, 16:00 UT. The station did come back in time to finish the track; about half of the track time was lost. SSR pointers were repositioned, and there's a long 70 meter track tomorrow, so there's a good chance that no data will be lost. SECCHI was able to upload a new schedule for the changed date of the momentum dump. * The station 63 pass for Ahead on Friday, Apr 20, will be shortened by one hour to 2.5 hours to assist the EPOXI mission with their safe mode recovery. The recorder should be close to empty at this point. * Ahead has 70 meter tracks on Wednesday, Apr 18 (D14), Friday, Apr 20 (D63), Saturday, Apr 21 (D63), and Sunday, Apr 22 (D14).
