STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2012-03-06 (Week 10) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 9 (Feb 27-Mar 4) * On day 058 (Feb 27), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly beginning at 0746z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N107953 for more information. * On day 059 (Feb28), for the DSS-14 support for Ahead, the antenna was declared red due to a mechanical problem and the entire 5.4 hour track was lost. As the next track was only six hours later, SSR pointers were reset for the in-situ instruments only to minimize the impact to science data continuity. A 1.4 hour DSS-32 track was also added on DOY 063 to start at 0640z. In spite of these efforts, this anomaly caused the SSR data loss listed below. See DR# G112415 for more information. IMPACT reached 95% full: 0.3 hours beginning at 061-1417z (Mar 1) 17.7 hours beginning at 061-2213z (Mar 1) PLASTIC reached 95% full: 0.7 hours beginning at 062-1457z (Mar 2) SECCHI data loss: 25.9 hours beginning at 058-1845z (Feb 27) SWAVES reached 100% full: 16.5 hours beginning at 061-2311z (Mar 1) * On day 060 (Feb 29), during the DSS-45 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0331z and again at 0403z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 23 frames of SSR data. See DR# N107955 for more information. * On day 061 (Mar 1), during the DSS-24 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly beginning at 1627z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N107958 for more information. * On day 063 (Mar 3), for the DSS-43 support for Ahead, telemetry lock was lost intermittently beginning at 2120z through 2128z and again at 2200z through 2204z due to heavy rain at the Canberra complex. This anomaly resulted in the cumulative loss of an hour of SSR data for each instrument. See DR# C108572 for more information. * On day 059 (Feb 28), for the DSS-43 support for Behind, telemetry lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0400z through 0420z and again at 0744z through 0754z due to heavy rain at the Canberra complex. The SSR pointers were repositioned and all SSR data were recovered. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 30 minutes of real-time telemetry, commanding, and tracking data. See DR# C108549 for more information. * On day 061 (Mar 1), for the DSS-14 support for Behind, the transmitter tripped off-line at 2306z due to an alarm condition. The alarm was cleared at 2310z and the track continued one-way only. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 50 minutes of commanding and two-way tracking data and several minutes of SSR data for each instrument. See DR# G112426 for more information. * On day 062 (Mar 2), during the DSS-45 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0415z through 0758z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of 164 frames of SSR data. See DR# N107957 for more information. * The average daily SSR playback volume was 3.9 gigabits for Ahead, and 4.8 gigabits for Behind. Week 10 (Mar 5-11) * The 45th momentum dump was completed successfully on Ahead yesterday (Mar 5), starting at 18:00 UT. * The 39th momentum dump is scheduled for Behind on Thursday, day 68 (Mar 8), starting at 16:00 UT. * Turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 03:56 UT yesterday (Mar 5) during the station 45 pass for Behind, resulting in the loss of a few frames of data. * Sunday, Mar 11, marks the start of daylight savings time in the U.S. * The first operational pass with the ESA Cebreros station was nominal yesterday (Mar 5), for the Ahead spacecraft. * A return-to-service test for station 15 with Ahead is scheduled on Friday, Mar 9.
