STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2011-04-26 (Week 17) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 16 * On day 111 (Apr 21), during the DSS 14 support for Ahead, initial telemetry lock at BOT was delayed three minutes due to configuration error. After the correct symbol rate was entered, telemetry lock occurred at 1233z. All SSR data were recovered. See DR# G111381 for more information. * On day 111 (Apr 21), during the DSS 45 support for Ahead, and the DSS 65 support for Behind, station monitor data was lost at 1820z due to a Special Function Gateway swap to the redundant unit. After the monitor data server was rebooted, monitor data was received at 1955z. All SSR data were recovered. See DR# C108048 for more information. * On day 108 (Apr 18), the playback of SECCHI SSR2, special event partition #20, was enabled on Ahead at 1235z. To optimize downlink bandwidth, after playing back the recorded data, the playback was disabled at 110-2125z. * On day 110 (Apr 20), IMPACT loaded new tables to the SIT instrument on Ahead. * On day 110 (Apr 20), the 37th momentum dump was successfully executed on Ahead at 2100Z, which imparted a delta V of 0.0839 m/sec. * On day 108 (Apr 18), during the DSS 65 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 1623z through 1812z. This resulted in the loss of 19 frames of instrument SSR data. See DR# N107284 for more information. * On day 109 (Apr 19), CCSDS SLE telemetry testing for Behind was conducted with the DSN test facility, DTF-21, using the backup command workstation. * On day 110 (Apr 20), during the DSS 65 support for Behind, telemetry lock was lost at 1945z due to heavy rain at Madrid. The SSR playback was stopped and SSR pointers were repositioned. This anomaly resulted in the loss of several minutes of instrument SSR data. See DR# M106290 for more information. * On day 111 (Apr 21), during the DSS 65 support for Behind, telemetry lock was intermittently lost beginning at 1600z through 2125z due to heavy rain at Madrid. The SSR playback was stopped and SSR pointers were repositioned. This anomaly resulted in the loss of several minutes of instrument SSR data. See DR# M106294 for more information. * On day 108 (Apr 18), the playback of SECCHI SSR2, special event partition #20, was enabled on Behind at 1605z. To optimize downlink bandwidth, after playing back the recorded data, the playback was disabled at 111-1500z. * On day 110 (Apr 20), the 31st momentum dump was successfully executed on Behind at 1800z, which imparted a delta V of 0.0697 m/sec. * On day 110 (Apr 20), after the momentum dump had completed, the IMPACT STE-D door opened, but the instrument's telemetry did not indicate open. The next day at 1519z, the door was commanded open and the proper telemetry indications were received. * The average daily SSR playback volume was 5.7 gigabits for Ahead, and 5.6 gigabits for Behind. Week 17 * The Ahead spacecraft will reach perihelion on Apr 28, and the Behind spacecraft on Apr 29. * There is test track going on for Ahead today (Apr 26) using station 24, shadowing a track on station 25. * Testing of the IMPACT STE on Behind will be carried out tomorrow (Apr 27) starting at 19:00 UT. * There will be a return-to-service track on station 63 for the Behind spacecraft on Apr 29, shadowing a track on station 65. There will be no uplink during this track, and the track will be carried out at 240 kbps. * Ahead has 720 kbps passes on Monday, Apr 25 (D43 (twice) and D14), and Thursday, Apr 28 (D43). The Ahead roll will be at 08:20 UT, and the Behind roll will be at 14:15 UT. These will be the perihelion rolls. The actual dates of perihelion are day 118 (Apr 28) for Ahead, and day 119 (Apr 29) for Behind--the rolls were shifted to May 3 due to system momentum. * There will be a PIT test of ground software version 10.3 using station 25 for Behind on Thursday, May 5, shadowing station 15. There will be no uplink during this track. * There will be an APCA hardware testing for Behind using station 24 on Thursday, May 5, shadowing station 15. * There will be a return-to-service track for Behind on station 24 on Friday, May 6.
