STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2010-03-02 (Week 09) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 8 * Telemetry lock was lost intermittently from 8:19-8:20 UT during the station 55 pass for Ahead on day 56 (Feb 25). This resulted in the loss of several minutes of SSR data. * Turbo decoder lock was lost at 15:57 ut during the station 26 pass for Ahead on day 57 (Feb 26). This resulted in the loss of 3 frames of SECCHI SSR data. * The 12th SECCHI stepped calibration roll on Ahead was carried out successfully on day 54 (Feb 23). * The station 45 transmitter went offline at 6:38 UT due to over current during the Behind pass on day 54 (Feb 23). The transmitter was recalibrated for a lower 16 kW uplink, and two-way communication was reestablished at 7:17 UT. This resulted in the loss of 35 minuts of commanding and tracking data, and several minutes of SSR data for all instruments. * Command uplink was late for the Behind pass on station 25 on day 54 (Feb 23), due to a transmitter anomaly. This resulted in the loss of 74 minutes of commanding and tracking data, and a few minutes of SSR data. * Command uplink was late again for the Behind pass on station 26 on day 55 (Feb 24). This resulted in the loss of 76 minutes of commanding and tracking data, and several minutes of SSR data. * The average daily SSR downlink was 5.9 gigabits for Ahead, and 5.1 gigabits for Behind. Week 9 * The Behind track for Mar 3 was shortened due to the GOES launch. The launch was later delayed and the Behind track was returned to its original length. SECCHI was able to upload commands to return to a full schedule. The new GOES launch schedule, including contingency, should not affect STEREO. * Uplink was delayed for 66 minutes during the Behind track on station 25 last night (Mar 1). Some loss of SSR data is expected. * There is a 25 hour gap between Behind passes Friday to Saturday, Mar 5-6. Pointers will be moved during the pass on Mar 6. Week 10 * The 28th momentum dump will be carried out on Ahead on day 67 (Mar 8), with ignition at 15:30 UT. * Daily Savings Time in the U.S. starts on March 14. * SECCHI notes that the Behind schedule between Mar 10-13 is below nominal coverage. Week 11 * A momentum dump will be carried out on Behind on day 77 (Mar 18), with ignition starting at 21:30 UT.
