STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2008-11-04 (Week 45) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * The APL network outage originally scheduled for November 15 is now scheduled to take place November 29. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spacecraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 44 * Acquisition of signal was 50 minutes late at the start of the Ahead pass on station 15 on day 305 (Oct 31). All SSR data was recovered. * The 17th momentum dump was performed on Ahead on DAY 304 (Oct 30) at 12:30 UT. A Delta-V of 0.065 m/s was imparted. * The average daily downlink was 6.5 gigabits on Ahead, and 7.5 gigabits on Behind. * Intermittent loss of signal was experienced during the Behind pass on station 26 on day 304 (Oct 30). This resulted in the loss of some SSR data. The cause is unknown. * Command bind was aborted during the Behind pass on station 55 on day 306 (Nov 1) due to a problem with the uplink equipment. The problem was repeated during the Behind pass on station 55 on day 307 (Nov 2). DSN reports that this is due to a ranging problem affecting the uplink. This problem was thought to have been fixed two weeks ago, but has reappeared. It is suggested that the STEREO mission avoid the use of station 55 for now. Week 45 * No significant activities. * The attended tracks will be on Thursday, Nov 6. * SWAVES reports that a number of Type 3 radio bursts have been seen coming from the new cycle active region NOAA 11007. Week 46 * No significant activities. Week 47 * No significant activities.
