STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2008-09-30 (Week 40) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spacecraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 39 * On day 268 (Sep 24), the Ahead track on station 25 was delayed because of transmitter calibration issues. * The average daily downlink was 7.3 gigabits on Ahead, and 6.9 gigabits on Behind. * A return-to-service track on Behind, and a PIT test, was carried out on day 266 (Sep 22) on station 24. No SSR playback was performed during this track. In spite of some weather issues, the track was carried out successfully. * The SECCHI synoptic partition filled up on Sept 23. This was because the planning was done based on version 2 of the weekly schedule which showed an SSR playback during the return-to-service track. This SSR dump activity was removed in version 3 of the weekly schedule when the PIT test was added. The SECCHI team requests that they be notified of such last-minute changes. * The 11th momentum dump on Behind was carried out on day 267 (Sep 23) at 17:00 UT. Week 40 * The SECCHI stepped calibration roll on Ahead occured this morning (Sep 30) at 06:55 UT. All indications are that the roll was successful. * IMPACT will be performing real-time commanding on Wednesday, day 275 (Oct 1), starting at 11:00, and on Friday, day 277 (Oct 3), starting at 16:00. Week 41 * There will be a MESSENGER fly-by of Mercury on Monday, October 6. * IMPACT is planning to perform SEP commanding on Behind on Monday. However, since this corresponds with the MESSENGER fly-by, the IMPACT team is looking into rescheduling this activity. * The intercalibration program ICAL-001 is scheduled for Oct 9, starting at 13:00 UT. SECCHI participates with their regular synoptic program. Week 42 * Ahead will switch to 480 kbps on Oct 13. * An EIT shutterless campaign will occur on Oct 16, and Oct 28. It's not clear whether SECCHI data would be of use for this campaign.
