STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2008-03-25 (Week 13) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * Maintenance work will be done at APL on Saturday, March 29, from 10-16 UT. Interruptions are expected in the command interface. Instrument teams should send any commands in advance. Phones will still be available. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spececraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 12 * A number of changes in the DSN track schedule were made because of the unavailability of station 43. * Occasional VC7 frame dropouts were seen during the Ahead pass on station 45 on day 77 (Mar 17). This was tracked down to a network problem at Goddard. All data were recovered. * The station 45 track for Ahead on day 79 (Mar 19) was replaced with station 34 to support Messenger. * The average daily downlink was 7.0 gigabits on Ahead, and 7.2 gigabits on Behind. * The 8th momentum dump on Behind was carried out day 78 (Mar 18) at 21:25. A delta-V of 0.068 m/s was imparted. Week 13 * The 12th momentum dump on Ahead is scheduled for today, Mar 25, at 16:30 UT. * The Ahead pass on day 87 (Mar 27) is being switched to station 45 to support Voyager 1. * Station 43 should be back online by tomorrow (Mar 26) at 13:00 UT. * There will be a network outage at APL March 29. See the announcement above. Week 14 * A SECCHI stepped calibration on Ahead is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, at 10:35 UT. * SWAVES is scheduled to do a flight software load on both spacecraft on Tuesday, day 92 (Apr 1). Backup opportunities exist Wednesday and Thursday. * High gain antenna calibrations will be carried out on both spacecraft on April 2, at 15:00 for Ahead, and 20:00 for Behind. Tracks have been extended for this activity. The Ahead track will be 7 hours long, and the Behind track will be 8 hours long. Week 15 * No unusual activities. Week 16 * No unusual activities. Other * The Whole Heliospheric Interval started Thursday, March 20, and runs through April 16th. Only STEREO synoptic data is requested. So far, the campaign is running well, with the exception that Hinode participation is constrained by their current telemetry rates.
