STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2007-12-11 (Week 50) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * The Dec. 25 operations telecon has been canceled. The Jan. 1 telecon is rescheduled to Jan. 2, at the ordinary time. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spacecraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 49 (last week) * The average daily downlink was 6.6 gigabits for Ahead and 6.7 gigabits for Behind. * There were two Behind ground system anomalies, on days 338 and 339, both on Station 45. The 339 anomaly was due to a transmitter tripping off line. These anomalies did not lead to any data or commanding losses. * On Day 339 the Behind command modulation was turned on late * On Day 340 PLASTIC MCP voltages were adjusted on Behind. Week 50 (this week) * Tomorrow (Day 346) JPL will perform a link automatic switch-over test during Behind track. This will interrupt real time commanding, but it should be possible to work around this. * Thursday (Day 347) - Copying over G&C parameters from RAM to EEPROM on both spacecraft Week 51 (next week) * There will be a momentum dump on Ahead on Thursday, day 340 (Dec 20), at 14:00 UT Week 52 and 53 * Staffing will be arranged on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 so that more operations staff can take the day off. As a result there will be some extra long breaks between passes, although they will still meet requirements. In general the MOC requests that activities be kept to a minimum at during the holidays. Please perform any activities before hand or, even better, afterwards. Other * On Jan. 3 There will be a SECCHI step calibration on Ahead. This is near the time of the Ahead aphelion on Jan. 6. A SECCHI step calibration is tentatively scheduled for Behind on Day 50 near its perihelion. These calibrations will be performed approximately every 3 months. * The second SECCHI campaign is scheduled for Jan 7-20. There will be a second pass each day for SECCHI data only, with the passes approximately 12 hours apart. the second pass will be about 3 hours long.
