STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2007-10-09 (Week 41) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spececraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 40 * Average daily downlink was 6.9 gigabits on Ahead and 7.2 gigabits on Behind. * SECCHI software version 5.05 was loaded on Ahead on Monday, day 274 (Oct 1). * SECCHI-Ahead had a watchdog error on Ahead on Tuesday, day 275 (Oct 2) at 22:54 UT. SECCHI was recovered the following day. Because of the watchdog reset, software version 5.05 was lost from volatile memory. It was reloaded and placed into EPROM on day 278 (Oct 5). * SECCHI software version 5.05 was uploaded to Behind on day 277. * IMPACT began their 48-hour calibration activity on Ahead on Tuesday, day 275 (Oct 1). During the test it was noted that the command verification APID 240 wasn't coming down, but otherwise the calibration sequence went correctly. The SEPT calibration on Behind has been postponed while the anomaly is investigated. * HGA calibrations were performed successfully on both Ahead and Behind on day 276 (Oct 3). * PLASTIC finished their table load on Ahead which began the previous week. * PLASTIC performed their table upload on Behind on Monday and Tuesday, days 274-275 (Oct 1-2). The upload went faster than on Ahead because COP-1 verification was turned off. * SECCHI-Behind was recovered on Monday, day 274 (Oct 1) from the watchdog error that occured the previous day. Week 41 * IMPACT will investigate their anomaly on Wednesday, Oct 10. Week 42 * Nothing unusual Week 43 * The SWAVES 90/270 degree rolls are tentatively scheduled for Monday, day 295. The SECCHI team suggested that the Behind spacecraft also be rolled to 180 degrees for 3 hours. This change is being looked into. * The first anniversary of the STEREO launch will be celebrated at APL on Thursday, Oct 25. * STEREO-Ahead is predicted to pass through the Leonids shower on Sunday, Oct 28 from 08:00-16:00 UT. No action will be taken on the spacecraft. Instrument teams plan to take preventive measures similar to those used for momentum dumps. PLASTIC will turn off their entrance system. SECCHI is considering closing some of the SCIP doors.
