STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2007-07-24 (Week 30) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spececraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 29 * The DMZ at APL went down on day 197, which delayed receiving the Ahead data from DSN. These data should now be available. * DSN station 34 lost command bind with Ahead on day 203 at 18:41. This resulted in not getting the stored command buffer dump for that day. * The total average daily downlink was 6.3 gigabits from Ahead and 6.9 gigabits from Behind. * A test of disabling GT use was performed on both spacecraft on day 199. This test was to simulate the possibility of offsetting the spacecraft pointing beyond the linear range of the GT. The COR2 telescope pointing is offset relative to the other SECCHI telescopes, which leads to excess brightness at the edge of the occulter. Offpointing to correct this would take the GT outside of its linear range, and the attitude control system would not be able to use the GT data. The SECCHI team has looked at the results of this test. It appears that the resulting jitter is worse than the EUVI and COR1 telescope teams would want. Week 30 * The fourth momentum dump will be performed on the Behind spacecraft tomorrow (Jul 25, day 206) around 19:00 UT. The SECCHI team wants to send commands, which will take about 15 minutes, before the momentum dump. * Autonomy rule 126 will be loaded on Behind on Thursday, day 207. This will be an attended pass. Week 31 * The Ahead track on Monday, day 211, has been moved from 17:25 to 21:05 UT. * GT rate usage will be enabled on Ahead on day 213. Week 32 * The final DSN schedule for week 32 is not available yet because of the Phoenix launch. The MOC is currently working from a draft schedule. The final schedules are expected to appear either today or tomorrow. Week 33 * The COR2 off-point even on Behind is scheduled for August 14th at 14:50 UT.
