STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2007-06-12 (Week 24) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * Next week's telecon has been moved to Wednesday, June 20th, at 12:30 P.M. EDT. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead spececraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 23 * Ahead is still operating on IMU #2, and is likely to be doing so for some time. * No ground system anomalies occured for either spacecraft during the week. * The average daily data downlink was 6.7 gigabits for Ahead, and 6.9 gigabits for Behind. * IMU #1 on Ahead was powered on during the track on day 157 to collect diagnostic data. Four pathlink control resets were encountered during the test. * The battery trickle charge was adjusted on both spacecraft on day 158. * The SECCHI-Ahead synoptic partition became 100% full during the track on day 158. The MOC cleared up space as soon as the data was downlinked, so that SECCHI could continue to take data. About 55 minutes of data was lost. * SECCHI-Behind experienced a watchdog reset on day 157 during the track, and was recovered during the track. About 5 hours of data was lost. This is the first watchdog reset on Behind--it has happened twice before on Ahead. * Messenger fly-by of Venus occured June 5 (day 156). STEREO synoptic data collected by all instruments. Week 24 * Both the Wednesday and Thursday (June 13,14) passes will be attended this week because of the large light travel times. Plans are being considered for making the commanding process more efficient. * New autonomy rules will be loaded on Behind on Thursday (June 14). These rules have already been loaded on Ahead. * IMPACT will adjust LET settings on Thursday. PLASTIC also requests realtime commanding this week. Week 25 * The first part of the Minimum Mission Success criteria will be met with 150 days collecting science data in heliocentric orbit. Week 26 * Test of new autonomy rule on Ahead on June 27th. Other * Remaining weeks still being worked because of upcoming DAWN launch. Nominal DAWN launch date has slipped to July 7th. Don't have contingency schedules yet if launch window is missed. * Phoenix launch still scheduled for August 3rd, and Selene for mid August. * The PLASTIC software load is ready to go, and is awaiting compatibility testing with IMPACT. When this is completed, the PLASTIC team wants to do the upload on a Tuesday, with the normal Wednesday attended pass as a contingency. The upload would be first done on one spacecraft, with the other spacecraft following a week later. * SWAVES had an issue with the command packet sequence count. The patch to solve this problem will be deployed tomorrow (June 13). * The issue with truncated IDR files is still being investigated.
