STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2007-05-08 (Week 19) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * The MOC requests that the instrument teams send them information about how the packet counters are treated in their telemetry, so that the information can be incorporated into the Data Loss Logs. INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. The Ahead spececraft is currently operating on IMU #2. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 18 * Unattended track operations were started. No anomalies have been seen so far. * On day 124, the transmitter on station 55 went red at 04:55 during the Ahead pass and the track plan was not completed. All data were downloaded. * IMU #2 is still in use on the Ahead spacecraft. * An average of 9 gigabits/day was brought down for Ahead, and 9.7 gigabits/day for Behind. * The SECCHI campaign started on Friday. * On day 122 at 04:20 UT during the Behind pass, station 26 encountered hardware problems. Downlink was switched over to station 25, and all data were recovered, but no commanding was possible. Week 19 * A parameter load for wheel speed avoidance was sent to the Ahead spacecraft this morning. * Will be loading autonomy rules and macros to the Ahead spacecraft this week to make running on IMU #2 more robust. * SECCHI campaign continues. The SECCHI team reports that it's going well. They have been tracking active region 10953 that is now setting over the west limb. On Wednesday and Thursday they will be making quiet Sun observations in Helium 304. * IMPACT will adjust MCP voltage on Behind tomorrow. Week 20 * SECCHI campaign ends late Thursday to early Friday, but there will still be additional tracks on both spacecraft. Week 21 * Momentum dumps on Wednesday, day 143, at 14:30 UT on Ahead, and 20:00 UT on Behind. Other * Schedules currently go through first week of June, and beyond. Schedules for June 25 and July 2nd are test schedules, and should not be treated as reliable. * DAWN scheduled for launch June 30, PHOENIX on August 3, and SELENE in mid-August. * The MOC has been looking into the data gap issue that SECCHI brought up last week. It was discovered that the file transferred from DSN was truncated, and 54% was missing. The data has been recovered. Looking back, the MOC has found about 30 files since launch with similar problems. They are in the process of having that data retransmitted, and will send an email listing which days have been reprocessed. * Since July 4th falls on a Wednesday, the attended track for that week will be on Thursday. Momentum dumps may also occur on that Thursday. * Next HGA test will by on day 192, July 11th. These occur quarterly. * MESSENGER will fly by Venus on June 9th. Instrument operations will not be adjusted for this event.
