cl
for THEMIS
Please, if you use CL products in
publications/presentations, it would be nice to acknowledge our efforts in a
sentence like:
"We thank E. Penou from CESR-Toulouse University/CNRS who developed the cl
software for the data display".
You must
have of course cl installed on your computer in /DATA (Unix) or X:\DATA for Windows (A<=X<=Z)
For Data,
you can now:
- manually download Themis data at
- use cl to
download gzipped Themis data at http://aspera.cesr.fr
in “Help/Check for data update”, “HTTP” for one or more Themis experiment, and
then select start and end day
- use cl to
dynamically download gzipped Themis
at http://aspera.cesr.fr data when
necessary
For calibration,
you can now:
- manually
download ESA calibration file in
/DATA/THEMIS/DATA/tha/l1/esa/0000/tha_l1_esa.txt
- use cl to
download ESA calibration file at http://aspera.cesr.fr
with “Help/Check for calibration update”, “HTTP” and “THEMIS”
In General/Preferences
window:
- choose a
temporary directory (/tmp by default, means in fact X:\tmp for Windows), this directory must exists
- choose a
LOCAL directory (/DATA by default, means in fact X:\DATA\THEMIS\DATA for Windows) where Themis will reside
- if you
have already downloaded some Themis data in X:\DATA\THEMIS\DATA\th[a-e], choose “LOCAL” in USE widget
- if you
want cl to dynamically download Themis data in X:\DATA\THEMIS\DATA\th[a-e], choose
“LOCAL_AND_HTTP” in USE widget
So, if you don’t have any data on your hard
disk, choose “LOCAL_AND_HTTP”. Choose “LOCAL” if you have some data.
After,
choose a plot in Add/THEMIS list.
Cl can
display FGM, EESA, IESA, ESST, ISST and orbito data:
- FGM: FGE,
FGL, FGH and FGS resolution in l2 data
- EESA,
IESA
l1 files: for both Full-Burst-Reduced modes:
time-energy spectrogram, 3d-moments computation, phi-theta, JE/Energy,
distribution functions, Pitch-angle spectrogram
l2 files: for both Full-Burst-Reduced modes:
time-energy spectrogram, pre-computed moments
- ESST,
ISST:
l1 files: for Full mode: time-energy
spectrogram, pre-computed moments,
l2 files: for Full-Burst-Reduced modes: time-energy spectrogram, 3d-moments
computation, phi-theta, JE/Energy, distribution functions, Pitch-angle
spectrogram
- THEMIS-OTH:
STATE: orbito data
